Week 12: OT Masterpieces and All...

WOW it has been 3 months already!
There are little things that ordinary people overlook with their children - like finger painting...
This is Zachary's second ever masterpiece, it is what he made today in OT. It took a lot of time, a lot of patience, and a lot of listening to Zach saying "ewwww" He hates to be dirty but he was able to work threw it today.
Most parents wouldn't think twice about their child making this, but I do. I could sit and look at this painting all day long, studying it, remembering my son's face, the pain in his eyes as he was holding a little ball to paint with - the confusion on his face as to why the ball was dirty, the anger that he had for the paint. All the way to when he had to use his own hand - dipping only one finger in the paint, as he was too scared to do anymore then just his fingertip, the look on his face saying "this isn't right", to the concentration it took him to get past one fingertip and move onto putting his whole hand in the paint. Hearing the whines and grunts to make it all stop and the happy look Zach got as he was being cleaned up. That look of pride that came over his face as Mommy and Ms. Jerry praised him for his very hard work as he glared down at his masterpiece.
This my friends is one extraordinary masterpiece by one extremely extraordinary little boy!!!
